Xam’s Daily Gems:
Clippers Money Line -178
The Clippers are one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now. They’re finally healthy and have gone on a serious run to get to the 3-seed in the Western Conference. They’re 8-2 in their last 10 games, and a big reason for that is their offensive output. They’re scoring 118 points per game with Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and James Harden leading the way. The Heat are a tough team who knows how to win. They’re led by their defense as they only give up 111 points per game. However, they’re only scoring 110 per game. Their offensive woes are a big reason why they’re 3-7 in their last 10 games. They’re also only 13-11 at home, which may show the homecourt advantage the Heat had in years prior doesn’t exist today. If the Clippers can contain Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro, they should be able to score enough to get the job done and continue their climb up the Western Conference standings.
Grizzlies/Celtics Over 219 Points -110
The Celtics have been on a mission this year. They have shown that they’re far and away the best team in the Eastern Conference, with a 4 game lead on the 1 seed. They have the best record overall in the league as well. They’re led by a dominant offense scoring 120 points per game. The Celtics should be on a mission and locked in, as they got embarrassed at home against the Lakers in their last game despite being double digit favorites. The blowout potential is high in this game. This will end up being one of the biggest point spreads this season. The key is what the Grizzlies will be able to produce offensively. Due to injuries and poor play, they’re only averaging 107 points per game this season. The Celtics are surrendering 111 points per game this season. The Celtics will be able to do whatever they want offensively. If they’re locked in, or the Grizzlies can keep this game within range, the Celtics will do the bulk of the scoring.
