Xam’s Daily Gems:
Bears/Seahawks Money Line Parlay -103 FanDuel 3 Units
The Bears enter play today at 2-2 and with a home win against one of the worst teams in the NFL will put themselves in a great spot nearly a third of the way into the season. The Panthers are one of the WORST teams in football and have particularly struggled defensively. The Panthers just gave up 34 points at home to the Bengals, and the Bears look like they may have figured something out offensively last week. Caleb Williams played efficiently against the Rams last week, and the Bears have shown to have one of the league’s BEST defenses! Free agent running back had his best game as a member of the Bears last week, and don’t be surprised to see the Bears’ offense run through him this week as well. The Panthers were reinvigorated by veteran QB Andy Dalton entering the starting lineup, but this is still a team that’s quite bad.
The Seahawks have arguably the biggest homefield advantage in the entire NFL, and the Giants are nothing short of a DISASTER right now. Star rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers is out this week with a concussion and starting running back Devin Singletary looks like he will miss the game as well. Being down two of your best offensive weapons is NOT where you want to be when you are going on the road to face the Seahawks and the 12th man. For the Seahawks, they’re getting healthier as it looks like Leonard Williams and Julian Love will make their return to the lineup. Kenneth Walker III came back last week and looked GREAT against the Lions. Frankly, it’s hard to see how the Giants will consistently move the ball, let alone score. If Geno Smith and the Seahawks can avoid turning the ball over, the Seahawks should HANDILY win this game.
Jaguars -2.5 -140 BetMGM 3 Units
The Jaguars are candidates for the most disappointing team in football right now. At 0-4, it’s hard to see them making a run to the playoffs, but any sort of comeback has to start today. They have a division opponent coming to town that is down their starting quarterback and starting running back. Joe Flacco played admirably last week, but the Jaguars will have a full week of practice against him, something the Steelers didn’t have last week. The Jaguars played pretty well defensively on the road in Houston last week, and if that defensive intensity can show up today, that’ll take the pressure off Trevor Lawrence. The Jaguars need to establish a run game early on, so don’t be surprised to see Travis Etienne featured early and often. The Jaguars are coming into this game healthier, as key starters Ryan Kelly and DeForest Buckner will also be out for the Colts. This type of game is about pride for the Jaguars. They have the better quarterback, the healthier team, AND are at home. There’s no reason for them to lose this game.
Broncos Money Line -146 FanDuel 3 Units
The Broncos are coming off an impressive road win against the Jets and now face a Raiders team that seems to be imploding. Star wide receiver Davante Adams has requested a trade. Other stars like Maxx Crosby are banged up, though he’s expected to play. Mile High Stadium will be RAUCOUS today at the prospect of the Broncos winning a 3rd straight game. Head coach Sean Payton is starting to get more and more out of rookie QB Bo Nix. The Broncos are still led by their defense though, and expect them to bring pressure early and often against Gardner Minshew. Defensive coordinator has the defense playing at a high level. The Broncos have given up just 16 points in the last 2 games! Expect Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin to pound the rock early and often. Nix avoiding turnovers is the key here. If Denver doesn’t give the Raiders short fields to work with, it’s hard to see how they will consistently move the ball!
Cowboys/Steelers Over 44 Points -110 BetMGM 3 Units
The Steelers showed plenty of cracks for the first time all season last week and now they face a high-powered offense that had more time to come up with an effective gameplan. The Cowboys last played on September 26th. They only scored 20 points in that game, so you know Mike McCarthy, Dak Prescott, and CeeDee Lamb are chomping at the bit to get the offense rolling again. F0r the Steelers, they seem to finally be picking things up offensively as well. They had their best game of the year in a hostile environment in Indianapolis last week. They have scored 20 or more points in each of their last 2 games. Superstar linebacker Micah Parsons is out, as well as defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence. Those are two big pieces of Dallas’s defense that Justin Fields won’t have to contend with. Pittsburgh has a great defense but coming off 10 days to prepare, the Cowboys will be too tough to completely stop. They will get their points. Don’t be surprised to see a shootout on Sunday Night Football!
Matthew Stafford Over 236.5 Passing Yards -110 FanDuel 3 Units
Despite missing his two top wideouts, Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has still managed to produce. He went for 224 last week on the road against a tough Bears defense, and now faces a Packers defense that got shredded by Sam Darnold in their own building last week! Matthew Stafford and head coach Sean McVay trust each other completely, and Stafford SHOULD benefit by this being a pretty high scoring game. He has made do with backup wide receivers and the Rams will need to produce offensively. Jordan Love is going to put up some points and the best way to keep up is for LA’s veteran quarterback to sling the ball all over the place. Expect head coach Sean McVay to get creative with getting wide receivers and even running backs open! Don’t be surprised to see vintage Matthew Stafford today at home in a game the Rams REALLY need!
