One could fairly argue that no team needs a win in Week 1 more than the Eagles. The Eagles had one of the biggest collapses in recent NFL history last year, losing 6 of their last 7 games after starting the season 10-1. To shore up some weaknesses, they hired two new veteran coordinators in Kellen Moore and Vic Fangio. Fortunately for the Eagles, aside from losing future Hall of Fame center Jason Kelce, the offense looks ready to ROLL! They added superstar running back Saquon Barkley in free agency, and arguably have the best 1-2 wide receiver combo in A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. Add in tight end Dallas Goedert, and Green Bay’s defense is going to have PROBLEMS tonight! The Packers might’ve been the biggest pleasant surprise in the NFL last year, making it all the way to the Divisional Round of the playoffs. However, Jordan Love is still young and learning, and the young WR core for the Packers will have their hands full. Vic Fangio is a veteran defensive mind who knows how to make like TOUGH for young QBs and young playmakers. The bottom line is that the Eagles still believe they can be playing on Super Bowl Sunday while the Packers may have overachieved last year in a weak NFC. If the Eagles can contain the Packers offensively, Jalen Hurts SHOULD be able to lead the offense to some points and get their season started off right.
