Xam’s Daily Gem:
Dodgers/Mets Over 7.5 Runs -110 BetMGM 1 Unit
PLAY OF THE DAY!
The National League Championship Series shifts to Citi Field tonight for a HUGE Game 3. Obviously, with the series tied 1-1, both teams will do everything they can to earn the win and gain the upper hand in this series. These teams combined for 10 runs in Game 2 of this series, and both teams will need their big bats to deliver tonight. The Dodgers are going with Walker Buehler while the Mets are going with Luis Severino tonight. Walker Buehler was absolutely AWFUL this season, pitching to an UGLY 5.38 ERA and 1.55 WHIP on the year. On the road, he’s been EVEN WORSE this season! He has a woeful 6.53 ERA, .293 batting average against, and 1.71 WHIP across 7 starts! We know the Dodgers have a good bullpen, but the Mets have a really solid lineup that is BRIMMING with confidence. They SHOULD be able to put runs on the board at home after scoring 7 runs in Game 2. Luis Severino has been really good in his first season with the Mets, but this is an ENTIRELY different beast. The Dodgers scored the 2nd MOST runs in the National League during the regular season and have scored 36 runs in just 7 playoff games. In fact, the Mets and Dodgers have scored the most runs out all of playoff teams coming into tonight. The Dodgers only scored 3 runs in Game 2, but they went just 1-9 with runners in scoring position. They had PLENTY of chances and they will likely do better than that tonight. Both teams just have TOO MUCH firepower offensively. Between guys like Francisco Lindor, Mark Vientos, Pete Alonso, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, and of course Shohei Ohtani, BOTH teams boast powerful lineups capable of scoring multiple runs quickly. Don’t be surprised to see these teams come out FIRING and even trying to steal some bases tonight to try and put pressure on their opponent. With the NLCS lead on the line, don’t be surprised to see a SLUGFEST at Citi Field!
