Few things go together as well as great food and great sports! Now that we’re heading into the weekend, it’s the perfect time to create delicious recipes, and there’s nothing better than fall-off-the-bone-ribs! We have the perfect recipe for you:
Ingredients:
- 4 pounds pork baby back ribs
- 1 cup barbecue sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons onion powder
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Aluminum foil
- Optional: additional barbecue sauce for serving
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
- Prepare the Ribs: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor penetration. Season the ribs generously with salt and black pepper.
- Make the Dry Rub: In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cumin, and cayenne pepper.
- Rub the Seasoning: Rub the dry rub mixture onto both sides of the ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Wrap in Foil: Place each rack of ribs onto a large piece of aluminum foil. Wrap tightly to seal, creating a packet for each rack.
- Bake the Ribs: Arrange the foil packets on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily pulls away from the bone.
- Finish on the Grill (Optional): If desired, finish the ribs on a preheated grill to add a smoky flavor and caramelized char. Brush the ribs with barbecue sauce and grill for 5-10 minutes per side, or until lightly charred.
- Serve and Enjoy: Remove the ribs from the grill or oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Slice between the bones and serve with additional barbecue sauce on the side.
Great ribs, great friends, and GameDay all go together perfectly! Cook this up for your team and you’ll be the MVP of the whole squad!
