Xam’s Gem(s):

FSU/Clemson Over 55.5 Points -110

FSU has been downright unstoppable on offense this year, averaging over 47 points per game to start the season. Their defense has been a bit of a work in progress, as they’ve given up 24 or more points twice this season. They surrendered 29 to an iffy Boston College team last week. QB Jordan Travis has been great this year, accounting for 9 total touchdowns with just 1 interception. Clemson also has a very good offense, led by QB Cade Klubnik. After a sluggish start to the year offensively, Clemson has put up 114 points of offense in 2 games! Clemson’s defense hasn’t been tested like it will be today.

Reds Money Line -152

The Reds need every single win they can get down the stretch of the season. Coming into today, they sit 1.5 games back of the last wildcard spot. The Pirates are technically still alive, but are on the brink of elimination. The Pirates are turning to Bailey Falter today, who has struggled this year, to the tune of a 4.58 ERA. Meanwhile, the Reds are countering with Connor Phillips. Phillips was one of the top prospects in the Reds’ minor league system, and he certainly showed why in his last start. All he did was throw 7 strong innings and picking up the win against the division winner in the AL Central. The Reds are the better team and simply have to have this game tonight. Look for them to pull out all the stops as they look to put an end to a 3 game losing streak.
