Xam’s Gem(s):
Indiana/Penn State Over 44.5 Points -115
Penn State is coming off its 1st loss and worst overall game of the year last week against Ohio State. They’ll be looking to get back on track and make a statement. Even with last week’s offensive struggles, Penn State is averaging about 40 points and 400 yards of offense per game. Indiana’s defense has also been horrendous this year, giving up about 30 points and just under 370 yards per game. They’ve been even worse over their last 4 games, giving up an average of 39 points per game. Penn State is going to do whatever they want offensively, and they should be able to pound the rock all game with Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen. The question is going to be if Indiana can do anything offensively in this game. Penn State boasts one of the best defenses in the country, but that can also lead to turnovers and short fields for PSU. However, Indiana has scored 14 or more points in 5 of their last 6 games. Indiana will try and run the ball to keep PSU’s offense off the field, but they’ll eventually need to open it up to keep up when PSU inevitably starts scoring points.
