The Carolina Hurricanes have been downright dominant on offense in the postseason. They played 11 games in the first two rounds, and scored 4 goals or more in 6 of them! Four of their wins have come by 3 or more goals. It certainly makes it easier to play when your offense is firing on all cylinders. A whopping 12 players have scored 2 ore more goals for the Hurricanes! Four of thise players have scored 4 or more goals. That’s a whole lot of offense for teams to have to worry about. Led by Center Sebastian Aho, they have been downright scary at times this postseason.Aho himself has 10 points and 5 goals. He’s tied for the team lead inn both total points and goals in the postseason. The Devils were playing great defensively coming into their second round series against the Hurricanes. They held the Rangers to 1 goal or less in 4 of their last 5 games in the first round. The Hurricanes scored no less than 3 goals in all 6 games against the Devils, and scored 5 or more goals in 3 of those games.
Can Panthers goalie Sergei Bobrovsky slow down this offensive powerhouse? It’s going to be a tall task, especially with the Hurricanes having home-ice advantage. That crowd in Carolina is going to be rocking tonight, especially. Look for the Hurricanes to start fast and try to get ahead early. Of course, every team hopes that they can start off on the right foot, but the Hurricanes seem to thrive off their energy of their fans and of each other. Needless to say, the Panthers will have their work cut out for them in this series.
This will be a great series to determine which team in the Eastern Conference goes on to the Stanley Cup Finals.
