With so many games and big sporting events on this weekend, it can be tough to keep track of everything! Of course, while you may be flipping around to various channels and games throughout the weekend, some games are more important than others. Let’s get into the Weekend Viewing Schedule!
Saturday
Saturday starts off with a huge matchup between two teams in the AP Top 10. Penn State is traveling to Ohio State in a matchup that’ll go a long way to determining the College Football Playoff. Drew Allar and the Nittany Lions haven’t faced a test like this all year, and in a hostile environment, it’ll be fascinating to see how they respond. Ohio State is used to big games, and since they were in the CFB Playoff last year, you’d think this gives them a natural edge. This will be a great way to kick off the weekend!
At 3:30pm, we have another big matchup when Tennesee travels to Alabama. Both teams already have a loss on their records, so the loser of this game will have no chance at the CFB playoff. That’s what makes this so compelling to watch! Nick Saban has made a career out of winning these types of games at Alabama, but Tennesee has the talent to knock them off.
At 8:00pm, the Utah Utes face off against USC. How will Caleb Williams to respond to arguably the worst game of his career? There’s only one way to find out.
As if all this wasn’t enough, we have Game 5 of the NLCS tomorrow at 8:00pm between the Phillies and Diamondbacks. It will be a best-of-3 series if Arizona wins tonight, or the Phillies will be looking to go back to the World Series.
Sunday
Of course, every game is big in the NFL. However, a couple of games stand above the rest.
At 1:00pm, two teams with playoff aspirations face off as the Lions travel to Baltimore to take on the Ravens. The Lions are continuing to build off their momentum from last year, but the Ravens have proven to be formidable regardless of their opponent. Both teams have the talent to win their division and playoff games, and this game will go a long way to determining which of them is best positioned to accomplish those tasks.
At 4:25pm, there’s a big AFC West showdown between the Chargers and Chiefs. The Chiefs have owned this rivalry recently, and have had extra time to prepare for this game, as they played last Thursday, while the Chargers played on Monday Night Football and will have a short week to prepare. Justin Herbert has the talent to pull off a monster upset, but he will have to be at the top of his game to beat Patrick Mahomes.
Sunday Night Football gives us a treat to end the night. Two teams with legitimate Super Bowl aspirations square off, as the Dolphins visit the Eagles. The Dolphins have bludgeoned teams this year, but the Eagles will surely be motivated and ready to go coming off their surprising loss to the Jets last week.
As if all of this wasn’t enough, Game 6 of the ALCS at 8:00pm between long-time rivals. The Astros and Rangers are playing like two heavyweight champions. The winner of Game 5 will be in position to lock up a World Series birth in Game 6. We can’t wait for this one!
This weekend is going to be a big one for sports fans everywhere. There will be plenty of games to bet on and enjoy thoroughly. Sports fans should soak it up this weekend! This weekend is a sports fans dream!
