The Diamond Dreams: Women in Baseball exhibit at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum traces the role of women in the game from the 19th century to the present day. This retrospective explores the history of women in baseball, including roles for women on and off the field and the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. Join biographer, baseball historian, and Manager of Digital and Outreach Learning for the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum Bruce Markusen in conversation with Kim Ng, General Manager of the Miami Marlins. Ng is the first woman general manager in the history of professional baseball. They will discuss this exhibit, the current status of women in professional baseball, the future of women in the MLB and her groundbreaking work in the game. Hired by the Marlins in 2020 after a long career with several teams and in MLB’s baseball operations office, Ng became the first woman general manager in AL or NL history.
